School Counseling Program

Safe and Drug-Free Schools
fact sheet
An effective school counseling program is comprehensive in scope, preventative in design, and developmental in nature. ESD 105 staff members work with school counselors and administrators in the region to enhance school counseling programs so that every student benefits.

The ESD 105 Learning Support staff can provide assistance with the curriculum component so that every student receives school guidance curriculum content in a systematic way. Our staff members are available to help with individual student learning plans so all students have the opportunity to work closely with their parents or guardians to plan, monitor and understand their growth and development and take action on their next steps personally, educationally and occupationally. The ESD Crisis Response Team is available to help counselors and administrators respond to the direct, immediate concerns of school buildings impacted by sudden death or loss.
