Prevention/Intervention Services
Intervention specialists in the ESD 105 Learning Support department provide early prevention and intervention to students and their families about alcohol and other drugs, assist in referrals to treatment, and help transition students back to school after they have been to treatment.
Our program provides training and support for intervention specialists, data collection and management, and develops partnerships with community agencies to prevent and intervene with students involved in substance abuse and violence. Workshops are continually available to schools on current topics that assist school districts to create a safe, civil learning environment.
Prevention/Intervention Grant: Substance abuse intervention specialists are provided to service 24 school districts in the ESD 105 region. They provide support in developing comprehensive student assistance programs that address problems associated with substance abuse and violence.
