Technology and Information Services

The ESD 105 Technology and Information Services department promotes the development of classroom instruction and the work and communication among education staff through current technology tools. The department also hosts the Student Records staff, who provide ongoing training and technical assistance to school personnel through workshops, in-district sessions, and phone support.

The Educational Technology Support Center (ETSC) assists teachers, administrators, and office staff in using current technology tools for program planning, classroom integration, program assessment, research, and grant writing.  These professional development opportunities are provided at our EST 105 Conference Center, at school sites, and online.

K-20 Network videoconferencing is a statewide resource incorporating intranet, Internet, and interactive video services for all K-12 school districts and public libraries in Washington.  ESD 105 provides technical and operational support for the K-20 Network to all school districts in our region, and  serves as a location for these point-to-point interactive videoconferences.

The South Central Regional Data Center provides data processing services to member districts of the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC).  Housed at ESD 105, the SCRDC works with 41 school districts in the ESD 105 and the Pasco-based ESD 123 regions to offer technology, training and support for fiscal records, human resources, and student records operations at the district level.

The Computer Network Services Cooperative provides high level technical support to participating member districts. Districts are supported by ESD 105 technical staff who are scheduled onsite weekly. Additional support includes remote management and phone support. The Co-op's services include firewalls, servers (file, caching, email, web, print, etc.) network infrastructure (cables and switches), desktop and peripheral installations, and training. Each school district has the responsibility to assign priorities and tasks the assigned network specialist will perform for its district.
