Teacher of the Year NOMINATIONS now open through March 1st!

Teacher of the year Do you have an exceptionally inspirational and innovative educator in one of your school district's classrooms?  Then consider nominating that outstanding member of your school community for the ESD 105 Regional Teacher of the Year!
OSPI has opened its online nominations for the 2017-2018 edition of this annual award.  The award is open to local educators who will be continuing in their position as a classroom teacher in our region's public or tribal schools during the 2017-2018 school year.
Nominations are open now through Wednesday, March 1.  (Special note:  This is an earlier deadline than in past years.)
Nominated teachers will then have until Saturday, April 1, to complete and submit their application materials to OSPI.  (Take note again:  This is also earlier than in past years.)
Our ESD's 2017-2018 honoree will be announced this August or September, near the start of the next school year.  The regional winner will then serve as our area's candidate for the 2018 Washington State Teacher of the Year, which will be announced during a ceremony in Seattle this September.
However, in order to be considered for our regional award, your teacher has to first be nominated!  Anyone can nominate a teacher from your school district -- a principal, a superintendent, a fellow teacher, a student, a parent, or any other member of your school community.
You can start the process RIGHT NOW by going to this direct link to OSPI's Teacher of the Year nomination form.
For more information about the program, see OSPI's Teacher of the Year website.
