Insurance Benefits
Educational Service District 105 contributes toward the cost of health benefits for eligible employees and their dependents.
Employees scheduled to work at 630 hours in a fiscal year (Sept. 1st through Aug. 31) are eligible for coverage through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB), administered by Washington’s Health Care Authority (HCA).
Our benefits include a choice of medical plans, employer-paid, dental and vision coverage, term life insurance ($35,000 policy), AD&D, and long-term disability insurance.

Retirement Benefits
Eligible employees participate in Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) in either the SERS or TRS retirement plans.
Paid Time Off
Sick Leave
Full-time employees receive 12 days of sick leave per year (prorated for part-time employees). Sick leave may be used to care for immediate family members in addition to one’s self.

Vacation/Annual Leave
Employees may be eligible for annual leave based on the position:
- Employees hired for a specific number of days (less than 260) are not eligible.
- Full-time eligible employees earn 14 days per year up to 24 days based position and years of service as designated by Board Policy.
- Vacation leave is based on a full-time schedule of 8 hours per day, 260 days per your. Employees who work less than eight hours per day or fewer than 12 months per year earn a pro-rated amount of vacation leave.
Personal Leave
Employees hired to work for a specific number of days (calendar day employees) less than 260 days are granted 2 personal leave days.

Holidays
ESD 105 recognizes 13 paid holidays, plus 1 floating holiday selected by the employee during the fiscal year. Eligible employees are paid for the holiday if if falls on a regularly scheduled work day. Employees hired for a specific number of days (less than 260) are not eligible.
