Professional Learning
ESD 105 offers literacy learning for teachers, paraeducators, instructional coaches, specialists, administrators, and district leaders. Learning opportunities are designed to support strong literacy instruction, deepen understanding of the Washington State Learning Standards, and help educators connect research, practice, and student needs.
Featured Learning Opportunities:
Initial 2026 ELA Standards Awareness and Understanding
Build familiarity with the initial 2026 Washington State ELA Learning Standards, including the vision, structure, key understandings, literacy practices, and possible implications for future implementation.
READ and WRITE Courses
Participate in synchronous Zoom sessions or asynchronous Canvas literacy learning focused on evidence-informed reading and writing instruction. These courses are designed for educators who want flexible learning that can be completed within the course window.
ELA Fellows and Literacy Leaders
Join a regional learning community focused on deepening understanding of the Washington State Learning Standards, strengthening instructional leadership, and supporting literacy improvement across schools and districts.
Customized District Learning
Districts may request customized professional learning connected to local goals, instructional materials, student needs, and implementation priorities.
