Language Learning Regional Network (LLRN)

You're invited to join the Language Learning Regional Network (LLRN) for ESD 105.

This is a great opportunity to increase collaboration and partnership with your colleagues and state and regional leaders to support multilingual learners!

Plans for the 2022-23 school year:

Whether you're a district administrator, specialist/TOSA, or other staff members who are primarily responsible for programs and professional learning for multilingual learner services in your district, we hope you will join us!

Participants are asked to register for the LLRN via PD Enroller. This will give you access to the free clock hours.

*Sessions will resume in January

We’ll begin with a look at the proficiency level descriptors, followed by an exploration of some of the tools provided by WIDA more deeply, such as the WIDA Model Writing and Speaking rubrics and how they can be used with the formative assessment process for expressive language development, exploring how the framework guides instructional planning, and sharing/learning from one another around scheduling, roll out, and the challenges we face.

  • Sessions will begin in October, but you are welcome to join at any time.
  • Use the WIDA e-Workshop professional learning modules to gain familiarity with the WIDA ELD Standards Framework. This fall, we will use the WIDA ELD Standards Framework: A Collaborative Approach to frame our discussions and learn from one another.
  • Engage in discussions on roll-out and use of WIDA resources, assessments, and program development.
  • Provide input on discussion topics and needs to inform regional and state-level support.
  • January 19    8:30 – 10:00
  • February 16  8:30 – 10:00
  • March 16      8:30 – 10:00
