Washington Quality Review Rubric

Using the EQuIP rubrics derived from the Tri-State Rubric and the collaborative development process led by Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island, educators across the state of Washington came together to create the Washington Quality Review Rubric for Social Studies Lessons & Units.

This tool can be used to assess social studies lessons and units in the following areas:

• Overall quality
• Alignment to Washington State K-12 Social Studies Learning Standards
• Alignment to Washington State ELA and Literacy in History/Social Studies Standards
• Integration of curriculum with the College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework trainings scheduled upon request
