Special Education Cooperatives

Established in 1970 in collaboration with local school districts, the ESD 105 regional cooperative was created to deliver comprehensive specialized and related services for students with disabilities in the region's rural communities. The cooperative is overseen by an executive board composed of participating special education administrators

The primary goal of the cooperative is to provide direct related services for students with disabilities while supporting teachers, administrators, families, and other providers. ESD 105 is authorized to develop, manage, and provide services or programs to students eligible for special education services within our school districts.

Educational Support Services for Students with Autism

Occupational Therapy and COTA Services

Occupational Therapy (OT) in schools focuses on helping students develop the skills needed for educational activities and academic success. OT practitioners work with children to improve fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, visual perceptual skills, and sensory processing. OT helps students with tasks like writing, using classroom tools, participating in physical activities, and managing sensory challenges. Through individualized interventions, OTs support students with disabilities or developmental delays, enabling them to fully participate in their academic setting and to reach their educational goals.

Educational Vision Services

Providing essential vision services tailored to the unique needs of each student. Their scope includes individualized Braille instruction, Orientation and Mobility, and specialized technology services. Focusing on fostering independence and accessibility, the team positively impacts students with visual impairments, empowering them to navigate daily and academic challenges with confidence and skill.
