Superintendent Resources

  • WASA South Central Region (WASA/SCR)
School district superintendents and administrators engage in professional development sessions and share state K-12 policy developments through the ESD 105 monthly meetings.

In monthly site visits to colleagues' schools, superintendents and other school district leaders pool their knowledge and experiences to seek ways for improving each school district's internal systems for student learning.  The networks are based on a "medical rounds" model involving tours of regional classrooms to observe teaching practices, followed by group debriefs where each group's collaborative expertise helps diagnose issues raised by other superintendents.

School Accreditation Services (AESD School Accreditation)
The Association of Educational Service Districts provides accreditation services to ensure that our state's high schools are adequately preparing students for college.  Accreditation is open to all grade levels and is a voluntary self-study process that involves a research-based approach to school improvement.  More than 200 schools throughout the state have been granted accreditation through the AESD.
